I have the best Mom!

I missed dedicating a post to my mom on her birthday, so I just have to say that I LOVE YOU MOM! I know you are too busy to read my blog, because you're planning a huge recital, but I just want you to know that you are the greatest blessing in my life! You are so fun, beautiful, kind, creative, generous, thoughtful, and the best grandma ever! Thank you for all you do for me! I couldn't imagine life without your love and support!

Happy Birthday, Sonja!

Things I love about my friend:

* We have great conversations about education, family, the gospel, politics, free enterprise, good books, nutrition, etc... She is so smart!
* She is a great mom to her little kids
* She loves to do her very very best
* She likes Nutella and bread!
* She likes all things nautical (hence the pic)
* She has been a true friend for a long long time! Despite my shortcomings!

I'm so grateful for you! Have a great day, Son!

Sister Baird! I need your email!

Okay girlfriend! I saw your comment and I don't know how to find you-- but I would love to get back in touch! Gooood memories of times in Enumclaw!

New Super Hero Fashion: the Loin Cloth

Nathan insisted in wearing this cape-- in a funny way! He wanted to be able to see it on him. So here he is! He is such a goof-- obviously the baby of the family. He is always making us laugh!

First Dandelions of the year

I love my boy. He is the sweetest, kindest, boy. He loves to bring me flowers. He brought me three little bouquets of dandelions today. He loves when I wear jewelry. He says, "Mom, when you don't wear your neckwaces and bwacewets, you are just pwetty. But when you wear your neckwaces and bwacewets, you are WEAWY pwetty!" I need to wear jewelry more often!

I am grateful for the temple!

Cory and I had the opportunity to do some work yesterday in Billings for those who had not yet been sealed. At one point when a son was being sealed to his parents, we both started crying. There was such a powerful feeling about that particular family. What a neat experience it is, to imagine the rejoicing that is happening on the other side of the veil.
After we visit the temple, we speak with more kindness to each other, and there is more joy in the little things in life. I'm so grateful for my companion- that he loves me no matter what, and that I am his forever!

A wonderful Vacation

My Mom, Aunt, and I had a great time taking our kids to Disneyland! Daddy was working and will visit the Magical Place with us and his side of the family next year. We made such great memories. I've created a slideshow, and can't get it onto this post, but here is the link:

Hey Uncle Matt! I'm wearing your shirt!

Here's a retro moment for you. This shirt was worn in the 70's by my older brother. Groovy.

So I've been a little busy....

Cory and I (well, I) decided it would be a great idea to host an Easter Egg Hunt for our community at the KOA. We invited all elementary students up to 2nd grade. The children were excited about filling eggs... on the first night we did it. By the fourth night, they were done. We filled 6,000 eggs with the help of my friends and the boy scouts.... but we should have rationed the children who came! We had about 450 kids there, and some ended up with nothing, and the parents were pretty perturbed... so we were giving out little toys and trying to make everyone happy! I don't know if I'll do this again, but it was a great learning experience!

Happy Late Birthday, Uncle Greg!

We were able to see my brother for a minute, and it was so fun! Here he is with his sweet baby, Boston!
Things we love about Uncle Greg:
He is really punny.
He works hard.
He makes everyone he is with feel great.
He loves life!
Love you, bro!
