Hello Idaho...

Reading by the fire...

Great Snowman Snow (a few weeks ago...)

He looks great in pink snowpants, don't you think? Forgive me, Nathan! You have a few feminine hand me downs!

The awesome crew who welcomed us to Lava, hauled in our stuff, got us settled, and even fed us! We love you, family!

Lava Hot Springs is a beautiful little town situated along a river. We can hear the river from our bedroom window--very soothing! It's the kind of town where you can walk anywhere (The boys and I walked to the library the other day-- it was great). There are obviously hot springs here, and they are awesome to soak in. The pool complex is adding another slide this year, so that is fun.
We are excited to be here. And our kids are glad to be closer to cousins and grandparents.
Our congregation here is quite mature. I looked around at church today and saw quite a few sweet old ladies sitting alone. So I'm sure there will be some neat opportunities there to see what they need. When I lived with my Grandma in Logan while attending USU, I saw a widow's life first hand. She loved visits, offers for rides, someone to read the things she couldn't see, etc. So, I hope we can help someone here.
There is so much work to be done on the campground here-- but we feel that with help from above we can make it a special place to come, and fun! We have converted it to a KOA, and the reservations have really been coming in, so that is great.
My challenge is to not worry too much about the business and just enjoy these babies of ours. I wish time would stand still sometimes! I look at old pictures of them with their chubby cheeks and just cry...
But it is fun when they get old enough to carry on somewhat intelligent conversations.

We are so glad to have you guys closer to family. How do we get reservations? Do we go to KOA.com? We'd love to come and camp this summer! Talk to you soon.
