Nathan loves playdough...

How can you resist the squishy stuff?
Here is mom's recipe:
1 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
2 tsp cream of Tartar
2 Tblsp oil
1 cup water plus food coloring

Heat on stove until it pulls away from sides of pan. "Moosh together and play!"

Halloween continued

Okay this is my awesome husband being a mad scientist at the Halloween Carnival for school. He helped the kids conjure up experiments. And I'm too tired to write what all my kids were. I think it's self explanatory. Except for the Power Puff Girl. Okay, I wrote it. I have no idea why she wanted to be one, but she was sure cute along with the rest. And Nathan? I don't know what he was. Pumpkin goblin! Aaaaa!

Why do we have Halloween parties? To wrap ourselves in toilet paper and eat donuts off of strings, of course!

Here is Nathan's idea for Family Home Evening Treat:
A Ghost! Made out of a cup of cocoa and two chocolate chips! It's clever! It's innovative! Most importantly, it took about 5 minutes to make, which is about all we had left after carving pumpkins! Which, we don't have pictures of carved pumpkins. Only precarved pumpkins, of course. So imagine to yourselves the masterpieces that they were...

New Holiday 'fits

I love Costco! Sparkly dresses for not too much salad!

A trip to Virginia

I went all by myself, on a plane, to a state far away, for several days. Bless my husband, he kept them all. It was so strange to be without all my apron strings! And of course, the kids all threw up while I was gone. But it was good to see my dad, see where he lives, see my sisters play sports, etc.

I liked this sign!

Dad's house

With my dad at a scenic spot on a foggy day-- funny!

Southern Virginia College--There is a great spirit about this school.

My sister Alyssa is so athletic and learned it all from me!
